What to expect at your first Doctor’s visit

Once the Rheumatologist has asked you questions, he or she will examine you. Depending on the kind of arthritis you have, they may need to look at all the joints, press on them, and move them. Sometimes the doctor will count how many painful or swollen joints you have, and you may have to answer some questions related to your functional ability and quality of life.

If you need them, we can take ultrasound diagnostic and blood tests at the clinic. They are available immediately, reducing the delay between examination and diagnosis. The objective is to deeply understand your injury and your goals in order to help you achieve a level of healing and health that permits you to be fitter, faster, and stronger than you have been in years.

What to bring

• Identification documents: Emirates ID or Passport.
• Insurance card(s): Please bring your insurance card in case authorization for services is required.
